Honorable Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa,
We are writing to you from the Patients’ Rights Association in Kosova – PRAK.
We as an association remain committed to supporting healthcare reforms which we hope will improve the position of patients in the healthcare system.
As part of these reforms in this sector is also promised the beginning of the implementation of the Health Insurance Scheme, which based on a decision of the Government you are heading is expected to start from 01.07.2017 with the collection of premiums.
Seeing that this date has already been offered, PRAK has made an assessment of the preparations that have been made to start this process, both important and complex!
From the conclusions outlined, it does not meet the minimum conditions for starting the collection of health insurance premiums for the reasons attached to the email!
Hoping on your academic approach from a well-known economist, but also the high political level as Prime Minister, we hope for a reflection on this great challenge that the health system in general and the health insurance in particular can be introduced.
Furthermore, attach the document to the findings and recommendations of the Public-Prime Minister-Prime Minister-Isa Mustafa research papers and numerous consultations with sister associations and other relevant stakeholders.
